Electric Boilers

  • The water from my boiler is not hot enough?
We would suggest firstly check the set point temperature of the boiler, this could be set low and just needs to be increased this can be done via the plus key on the left hand side. Secondly I would suggest the Mixer valve is checked and increased as if this is too low then it can cause the water to only come out lukewarm. Increase the setting and test again.
  • My Electric Boiler is not providing any heat?
If your heating is not working we would suggest checking your thermostat. The test for this would be to turn the thermostat above your usual temperature and see if the boiler starts up. If the boiler does not come on it is most likely a thermostat issue and it will need to be replaced. If the thermostat is working and is calling for the boiler to heat, check to see if the boiler is showing a temperature and that the boiler pressure is at 1.5 bar, if not refill using filling loop underneath. If your boiler is still not providing any heating after trying the above please call our technical line on 01942 670119 or email technical@elnur.co.uk
  • My MAC15 combi boiler display is off?
The MAC15 Electric Combi Boiler display not working can be caused by the safety cut-outs tripping. There are two safety cut outs on the boiler one on the left hand side (Hot water) and one on the right hand side (Heating). To reset them remove the caps and press the red pin and test again. If this still doesn't fix the issue then check the on/off switch at the bottom left hand side of the unit to make sure this is switch on.  If you continue to have issues contact the technical line on 01942 670119 or email technical@elnur.co.uk

  • Electric Radiator RFE-PLUS / RXE-PLUS only showing “time” on the display?
If the unit shows a time at any point then this would suggest the heater is in frost protection mode and will not work unless the room drops below 3°C. You will need to take the heater off frost mode to get it to work again. To do this press and release the frost button the unit will show on and then the current room temperature, the unit will now work to get your room to temperature.
  • Do I need to leave a gap above my heater?
Yes, a 15cm gap needs to be left above any Electric radiator, Storage heater and Panel heaters. This is to help the convection of the radiator and prevent over heating.  Unlike central heating radiators, electric radiators, storage heaters and panel heaters can not be covered as it poses a serious fire risk.

Fan Assisted Storage Heaters

  • Are Elnur Storage Heaters Supplied with Cable?
Our Storage heaters do not come with cable. They do not come with cable as the distance from a fused spurs varies to much to supply a set length. The qualified electrician would usually supply the cable needed to wire in your storage heater.

High Heat Retention Storage Heater

  • My ECOHHR has ERR4 code on the display?
The Error 4 code is usually caused by a timing issue. If your heater has only recently been installed, we advise contacting your energy provider to check your Economy 7 /10 supply timings and amend these on your ECOHHR in the General settings of the heater.  How to amend charge times? The Error 4 can also be caused by an issue with the time/day on the heater. We would advise checking the current set times and amending them to the correct time and day. Take a look at our quick guide. How to set Day / Time?
  • My ECOHHR storage heater is only lukewarm?
The ECOHHR range is a high heat retention storage heater, this means the storage heater has thicker insulation and the casing won't feel as hot as your older standard storage heater did. Even though the casing is lukewarm the heater will still contain a lot of heat inside, ready for when you want to release. This type of heater is designed to maintain the set temperature throughout the day and is designed not to waste energy, this means every day the heater will measure how much heat is needed and will adjust itself as needed.

Smart Storage Heaters

  • My ECOSSH Display in not coming on?
This can be caused by a few different things. The first things to check would be one of the 3 isolator switches. The Economy 7 and 24hr supply switches and then the switch on the back of the heater. If this does not work we would then recommend checking the fuse board to see if the breakers are all still on. If this does not solve the issue we would suggest calling an electrician to check the fuses in the spurs to ensure power is going to the heater. If power is going to the heater but still no display you will need to call us on 01942 670119 or email technical@elnur.co.uk
  • My ECOSSH storage heater is only lukewarm?
This would suggest your SSH storage heater is reducing its own charge percentage to reduce running costs. This is a normal process for the smart heater, it will work out the most efficient way to run following your set program and temperature. If you are not comfortable with the current heat output then we would suggest increasing the set point temperature to allow a bigger charge. How to set Temperatures on your ECOSSH?

Standard Storage Heaters

  • What is the difference between Manual and Automatic Storage Heaters
Storage Heaters Charge up over night using the 7 hrs of economy 7. Manual Storage Heaters charge for the full 7 hours regardless of how much heat it used the previous day. Automatic Storage Heaters calulate how much heat was used the previous day and work out how long they need to charge for. For example, If an automatic storage heater only used 5 out of the 7 hours of stored heat, when it comes to the next charging time the storage heater will wait 2 hours then will charge till it is full. On Average this facility can save you up to 15%.
